Liberty Defeats Heritage for First Time in School History
Lions Secure Playoff Birth With 14-7 Win
Brentwood, Calif.
With 5:26 to go in the 4th quarter Friday night, Ivan Oseguera scored the biggest touchdown of his career at Liberty. A short drive set up by an excellent defensive stand and a poor punt that put the Lions at the Heritage 30, was capped when the Liberty signal caller ran over right end to score the only touchdown for Liberty. On the ensuing point-after attempt, Oseguera pulled up the snap and fired a cross-field pass to Dylan Gilfoy in the left corner of the end zone on a fake PAT attempt.
Liberty's own kicker Anthony Martinez had a nice game for the Lions. Martinez got Liberty on the board in the 2nd quarter with a 31-yard kick field goal. He would hit from 34-yards on the next possession.
